BCS... again!

Well after a hard fought season with some close shaves, some really close, the Utes are headed for glory again. Proof that maybe some Utah fans and players are living right on and off the field as well :) (Sorry couldn't resist one more shot at Collie). The worst part of the whole thing... I live 1700 miles away from SLC now. I missed the magic and only managed to see two games, the first and the last. I listened as King Louie saved our season a few times and some last minute heroics by Johnson kept the streak going. There is still the sweet taste of history repeated and BYU fans remembering better times while Utah continues to fund their athletic dept. K maybe that was offsides, but anyone who knows me knows that I'm mostly kidding :) I'm proud to wear my Utah red out in the land of the Big X.
I finished my first semester of school and believe I passed everything. The first semester wasn't exactly what I expected, but then who can really guess what any experience will be until they pass through it. It has been great and the time has flown so fast, yet when I think of everything that I have done, all the friends that I have made, and all the things I've learned it seems that it couldn't have gone that fast.
For now I have a week off for Thanksgiving and seem to be getting sick, suck! We are going to go to an indoor water park for Thanksgiving, keeping away from tradition:) We are excited and this place is supposed to be amazingly fun. We'll post pictures.
I'm going to start two weeks of sealant duty in inner city schools the Monday after Thanksgiving. It will be a great experience and everyone says it is the highlight of the first year. I'm excited to give back to the community and experience something that Utah doesn' have to offer in the same way.
After that we will be home and loving the time with family. It is all that Kristy can think about. She is doing well, missing home and adapting to her job. She is very busy and usually tired at work, but hopes to be able to stay on after her probationary three months are up, which is right as we come home for Christmas.
I guess that's it for me for now. I'm excited to see where the Utes will go and if they can keep their bowl winning streak alive. At least this time we won't get a crappy Pittsburgh team and can really show the nation what we have got. Go Utes!

Just to clear things up, this is Kristy typing now :). I went to the "Twilight" movie late thursday night with some girls from my ward. It was such a nice evening. I love the girls in my ward. We had so much fun. Even though I was SO tired and had to work the next day, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was a little nervous going to this movie. I'm not a huge "Twilight" fan like most women are so I wasn't really that excited. I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen and some of the acting was less than good, but all in all it was well done. I instantly fell in love with Edward! Although, he wasn't what I had pictured in my head. I had imagined him to absolutely beautiful. The actor was gorgeous though:) And he made Edwards personality come to life. I'm always bugged when they make a movie from a book, they never do it justice. But this one was awesome. I still like the book better, but I was pleased with the movie. I am totally in love with Edward :)!!

Beautiful sisters!!

I know Ryan just blogged, and I hate to take attention from King James, so if you haven't already, make sure you read the blog below this one cuz it's AWESOME!! Anywho, I just got home from a girl's night out with some women from my ward who I'm starting to dearly love. It's so great to have the feeling of having sisters away from sisters; kind of like home away from home. It makes it so much easier and there are wonderful women in my ward. I'm lucky:) So I was thinking about that and it made me think about my two sisters who I miss more than I can say. I'm so lucky to have such amazing sisters. I miss them. I'm so grateful to be sealed to them. That is one of the best blessings my Heavenly Father has given me. How can it get any better than to be sealed to your best friends ( I am including my husband and parents in that:)) It's been my dream for quite a long time that when we are all done with school and such that we will all live next door to each other, not just on the same street, but right next door, and my house will be in the middle(since I am the middle child of course). I hope someday that my dream will come true, although it most likely won't, but I can still hope. That's the joy of having sisters, it's like having a really good friend you haven't seen for a long time, when you get together you pick up right where you left off. I love Shawna for being so happy and full of joy pretty much all the time. I LOVE her homemade rolls! And I'm SO happy for her for getting the thing she's wanted the most!! I love Kelly for being so funny and motivated. She is very ambitious, and I'm jealous of that, I gotta say:) I love them both for not being perfect. They are pretty darn close to that, but it makes them reachable and lovable. So to Shawna and Kelly, I love you so much. Thank you for being the kind of sisters I need. Thank you for being there whenever I do need you, which is pretty much all the time. I'm so lucky to have you. That's one of the reasons why I hate growing up, 'cause I have to be away from you. But just knowing we're forever makes life very sweet:). I love you and thank you. You two are amazing! (I'm hoping Kelly is reading this:))

The LeBron James Show

Last Wednesday Kristy's boss was asking people in the office if they wanted box seats for a Cavs game that night, everyone told him no, including Kristy. After he left she thought to herself, "Ryan would kill me if he knew I passed up those tickets." So she called him to see if he still had them available and he did... eight of them. So we invited some friends to come with us. When I looked at the tickets I was amazed to see that they were $250 a piece... Holy crap!!!! Kristy's boss does alright I'd say. (Good for him and for us it turns out) We entered the stadium and took the elevator down to the bottom floor. The guy checked our tickets and showed us the private lounge we had access to and showed the way to the court. When we stepped out we were practically on the court. Our seats were behind the hoop just off to the right probably thirty feet from the court. It was a great experience, especially with a few friends. It kinda felt like we were rich, not just struggling students. LeBron had a great game and put on the kind of show that is expected here in Cleveland. He fills that arena all by himself and won the game basically by himself. The rest of the team is ok, but King James, as they call him here, is another level and scored 41 points. So here is a picture of the pre-game festivities. The next day Kristy heard that it is very unlikely that we'll ever have another chance at those tickets but if the chance comes up again I'll take it with no hesitation. So the other events in my life are that I have finals this week and next, and then a week off for Thanksgiving. The two weeks after that we will go into inner city schools to do sealants on the kids, and then we will be on Christmas break and on our way to Utah. And another great thing happened last week... we got a new foosball table at school. You've never seen so many excited dental students. It was like Christmas morning. We got a table from the national foosball championship for the low, low price of $1400... used. Nice to know that my tuition finally got me something good :) So for those who don't know I've found a new love for foosball and am fast becoming an addict, since it is like the dental school's official sport. Kristy is doing well, she is getting busier at work, and is going to have a lot to get done before we go to Utah. That is both good and bad. Other than that life is pretty much the same, just looking forward to coming home for Christmas, in case I haven't mentioned it enough already :) Here are some more pictures from the game.Here we are in our box. Ah, I'm tagged

Ok, I think I've been tagged. So to make sure I have no bad luck, like the person who tagged me said I'd have, I better do what I'm told. I need to write 6 things that are quirky, weird, or unique about me. So here goes:

1. When I get nervous, bored, or anxious I rub my pinkie's with my thumb. I've done it since I was little. I always thought it was really soft and I liked the feel of it. Now I just do it subconsciously. Weird, I know, but there you have it.

2. I love love LOVE the shows Friends and Scrubs. I'll watch them over and over and over again. Even though I've seen each episode about a million times, I still laugh!! I probably could have gotten so much done instead of watch them, but I can't stop! Was that guy smoking a gavel? Congratulations, ya look like a purse! I'm just eatin the skins, so the chicken is up for grabs.

3. I love dancing! That may not come as a surprise to some of you. I'll just start randomly dancing. Ryan thinks its weird, I think it's fun:) I dance when I put groceries away,when I'm cooking, when I'm copying something at work, out in the rain, when I'm listening to my iPod, pretty much whenever. I want to be in a professional dance company someday. But for now, I just dance for me. Bust a Move!!

4. I am so incredibly afraid of the dark, it's silly. One time when we were camping, I had to go the bathroom REALLY bad in the middle of the night, but I didn't have a flashlight, so I just stayed in the tent wide awake all night until dawn. It was a long and uncomfortable night.

5. I still have the imagination of a little kid. I'm always thinking of silly and weird things. One time we were driving to Copperton Park for a family picnic and we were running really late. I turned to Ryan and said "wouldn't it be awesome if the car could just turn into a jet and we could fly there in about 3 seconds?" He just laughed and laughed.

6. I love to grocery shop. I hate shopping for anything else. When I grocery shop, I know what I want and what goes good together, which is not the case when I shop for anything else. I love going down every aisle and checking off things on my list. It's just fun for me. I now have to shop for our food storage and I'm excited for that too.
